Since it's late, I don't have a lot of time to write so I posted a few more pictures than usual. Today we rode ATV's 130km (80 miles), ate ants and chicken feet, toured the killing field, lounged in hammocks by a lake, got sunburned and ate pizza for dinner and Dairy Queen for dessert. We are exhausted and ready for bed, so it must have been a good day. Tomorrow we fly to Siem Reap to see the Angkor Wat (about an hour flight north of Phnom Penh).

The commemorative stupa in Choeung Ek. The monument if full of bones and skulls found in the mass graves from the genocide in 1975-1979.
Between 1.2 and 2.5 million people were killed in Cambodia between 1975 and 1979 in the genocide resulting from the Khmer Rouge policies
Bones from the mass grave in Choeung Ek. There were actually bone fragments on the ground as we walked around the site; bones that surface due to the rain and wet soil.
